![]() For those students at Private Pilot level who wish to purchase their own, inexpensive aircraft on completion of the training, an ideal "older style " aircraft such as the Piper PA28 can be a training option. For all the reasons you will read about throughout this website, we don't recommend this option for basic training. However it is available. The reliable PA28 is very suitable for Navigation and basic instrument training. Our PA28 aircraft is fully equipped with GPS, VOR, DME, HF radio and ADF navigation aids as well as a two-axis autopilot to give the student a thorough grounding in the use of all types of navigation techniques and aids.
